Citadel Selects State National Companies as CPI Provider

After Changing Providers, Citadel Sees Significant Improvements

Fort Worth, TX – August 17, 2007 – State National Companies (SNC), a national leader in collateral protection insurance (CPI) solutions, announces that it was selected by Citadel Federal Credit Union to provide CPI. Since the completion of the program’s implementation, Citadel has seen dramatic improvements in workload, claims and customer satisfaction.

Citadel Federal Credit Union, based in Thorndale, Pennsylvania, services 110,000 members nationwide with more than $1 billion in assets. The new partnership has lightened the workload for Citadel’s staff, while increasing the number of claims and the amount paid per claim.

“I was loyal to our prior carrier, but I was basically responsible for each and every task related to our CPI program, from phone calls and mail, to updating insurance and filing claims,” said Laura Balint, CPI administrator for Citadel. “State National took a lot off my plate by taking care of member calls and mail, and contacting insurance companies on behalf of our members.”

State National’s emphasis on customer satisfaction was also a motivator in switching CPI providers. With CPI as its core product, State National offers convenience for credit union members, whether they are providing proof of insurance or have questions regarding their insurance.

“I usually get the elevated calls, and I can honestly say that my phone hasn’t been ringing a lot,” said Balint. “State National has really impressed me, and I’m eager to see how the rest of the year goes.”
