State National Announces 2008 Client Survey Results

Ratings Increase Across Every Category in Newly Released Survey

Fort Worth, Texas - February 28, 2009 - State National Companies (SNC), a national leader in collateral protection insurance (CPI) solutions, has released the results of its 2008 end-of-year customer service survey. Ratings increased in every category, confirming that lenders value State National's effective communication, customer service, and experienced and knowledgeable staff.

"Our survey results have traditionally been very high, which is why it's remarkable to see the increases we accomplished in 2008," said Trace Ledbetter, senior vice president of service at State National.

State National handles more than a half million borrowers' phone calls, processes over a quarter million insurance confirmations, and completes more than ten million insurance transactions annually. As these numbers continue to grow, State National is committed to maintaining quality customer service.

The survey focused on account manager service delivery, overall company service and clients' perception of State National as a partner. Respondents were asked to evaluate areas of service on a five-point scale from "completely disagree" to "completely agree."

Although all areas saw increases, the highest improvements were in categories relating to clients' relationships with State National's account managers, with the fairness and integrity of State National's management, and with the fairness of State National's program premium calculations.

"In today's challenging economy, the relationships between lenders and State National are increasingly important, which is why we are pleased to receive high marks as a business partner," Ledbetter said. "As borrower delinquencies rise and as margins continue to be squeezed, more lenders are looking to collateral protection insurance as a solution to improve their bottom line and protect their loan portfolios.
